The VigorAP 1000C is a Tri-Band Access Point with MU-MIMO / Beamforming features providing excellent Wi-Fi connectivity. The Plug-n-Play Mesh technology in the VigorAP 1000C supports up to eight Access Points to be wirelessly interconnected as a Mesh group to provide extended wireless coverage. This can be quickly and easily set up using the built-in Quick Start Wizard or with the free Smartphone Wireless app available from DrayTek.
The Wi-Fi Mesh technology found in the VigorAP 1000C will improve the reliability of any network. Redundancy features ensure an alternative path is available in the event of an uplink connection failure, leading to continuity of Wi-Fi services.
The VigorAP 1000C features the latest Wi-Fi technology, 802.11ac Wave 2 in the 2 x 5 GHz bands and 802.11n in the 2.4 GHz band giving a combined throughput of 2134 Mbps (2 x 867Mbps for the 5 GHz band and 400Mbps for the 2.4 GHz band). The support of Multi-User MIMO (MU-MIMO) allows it to deliver high-performance wireless connections to multiple devices such as smartphones (up to 4) maximising bandwidth utilisation.
There are 2 x Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports, one of which is a PoE PD port. These ports can be divided into two segments: segment A and segment B.

With 1 x 2.4GHz band and 2 x 5GHz bands, VigorAP 1000C in AP mode is designed to work where signals are crowded. The 3 bands connect Wireless clients separately and provide better user experience for all users.
With an additional 5GHz band, VigorAP 1000C in Mesh mode provides a dedicated wireless backhaul link. Wireless clients may still connect to the 2.4GHz and the 5GHz bands while the third 5GHz band is reserved for backup.

Extend Transmission Range
When a Wi-Fi client moves out of its effective transmission range which is defined by the Basic Rate and/or Received Signal Strength threshold, the AP forces the
Wi-Fi client to pick up a nearby access point with stronger signals thereby extending the range.
Improve Data Rates
When the “Minimum RSSI with Adjacent AP” option is set, APs or routers on the same local subnet will exchange client information with each other and switch to the AP or router that has the strongest signal, ensuring that data rates can be as good as possible.
