The GSD-808HP2 is equipped with eight 10/100/1000Mbps PoE ports and internal power supply in a simple 13-inch, desktop size metal case. Each of the Gigabit ports feature High Power IEEE 802.3at Power over Ethernet (PoE) that enables up to 30-watt power output per port and data transmission both delivered over one Cat.5E / 6 Ethernet cable, providing double PoE power, more than the current 802.3af PoE injector devices.

The 8 Gigabit High Power PoE ports in the GSD-808HP2 support both 802.3af and 802.3at PoE standards to allow users to flexibly deploy standard and high powered devices simultaneously with no need of software configuration. By offering 240-watt PoE budget, a maximum of eight 15.4-watt IEEE 802.3af devices or eight 30-watt IEEE 802.3at devices can be easily installed regardless of the power-socket limitation. Simply plug in the Ethernet cables and power cord, the GSD-808HP2 is ready to provide Gigabit high speed network communication and high power PoE injector functions.

Providing data transfer and high power PoE capability, the GSD-808HP2 can reduce the need of extension cables and electrical outlets on the wall, ceiling or any unreachable place. It helps to lower the installation costs and simplify the installation effort.
All RJ-45 copper interfaces in the GSD-808HP2 support 10/100/1000Mbps Auto-Negotiation for optimal speed detection through RJ-45 Category 6, 5 or 5e cables. It also supports standard Auto-MDI/MDI-X that can detect the type of connection to any Ethernet device without requiring special straight or crossover cables.
